He holds a PhD degree in media paedagogy from the institute for media and educational technology (University of Augsburg), a degree of advanced studies in psychology (Dipl.-Psych. Univ.) and a bachelor of electrical engineering (Vordiplom) from the university of Erlangen-Nürnberg.
